Inhibits epinephrine-stimulated thromboxane production in human platelets (86% at 3.5µM). Also blocks insulin secretion in pancreatic islets in response to glucose. WebONO-RS-082 has been shown to be a potent PLA2 (phospholipase A2) and epinephrine inhibitor. More specifically this compound has been reported to inhibit epinephrine-stimulated thromboxane production in human platelets. Studies also suggest that this agent inhibits substance P induced histamine release from peritoneal mast cells.
