So, 5.38s with an automatic and 35s run less rpm than a stock 6 speed Rubi on stock tires and only 119 rpm higher than it would with 5.13s. Im thinking 5.13 gears. Gonna RIPP it as well. 4.88's for a manual on 35's. 5.13's are for the auto on 35's; unless you drive in the mountains a lot, then 5.13's for a manual on 35's. I spent 10 years thinking that Rubicon's 4.10 gears with 35s were OK. They are....OK. 4.56 gears are better with 35s if you like words like squirt, responsive, torque. You can do it but it's definitely not ideal. The ratios with a 5.13 first on a 3.73 rear end and 35's (your proposed setup) is very slightly taller than what a stock 6MT Tacoma is in first gear so it's not like you're going to be causing massive wear getting started.
