However, migration patterns and mechanism of trace elements into a surrounding water body are complex and different depending on the investigating sites. WebThe aim was to identify the geochemical processes which gave rise to the present element distribution and to assess how they could retard the migration of radionuclides in the event of accidental release. The suitability of the rocks for disposal of high-level radioactive waste was briefly investigated.
